Protocols for comparison and comparing ocean-sea ice models at high- and low-resolution were built by CLIVAR OMDP.  The results are in Geoscientific Model Development for discussion and authors invite comments from the wide communities.

ICMPO was closely involved in the organization of and participated in the Sixth International Conference on Climate Services (ICCS-6) (Feb. 11-13) and the South Asian Heat Health Summit (Feb. 14), which were organised in Pune, India recently.

The ‘Climate Predictability and Inter-Regional Linkages Pune Stakeholder Event: Paleo/present/future monsoon variability and implications for environment, policy and society’ has recently been endorsed by CLIVAR SSG.

CLIVAR/IOC-GOOS Indian Ocean Region Panel (IORP) members organized a Town Hall on IndOOS-2 at the AGU Ocean Sciences Meeting in San Diego on 20 February 2020.

An assessment of the Indian Ocean mean state and seasonal cycle in a suite of interannual CORE-II global ocean–sea-ice model simulations is presented.

The 78th issue of CLIVAR Exchanges has been published, focusing on the recent decadal review of the Indian Ocean Observing System (IndOOS) and its outcomes. Dr Lisan Yu is the guest editor for this special issue.

WCRP is currently inviting self-nominations from highly enthusiastic and dedicated experts for membership of the following groups.The deadline for submitting self-nominations is 20 March 2020.

The 25^th Session of the CLIVAR Scientific Steering Group was hosted by US CLIVAR from Feb. 15 to Feb. 16, 2020 in San Diego.
