International Conference on Southern Hemisphere Meteorology and Oceanography (ICSHMO) 2025

ICSHMO is calling all atmospheric and oceanographic scientists to submit abstracts for the conference taking place in Cape Town, South Africa during 31 March - 4 April 2025. Submissions are welcome across all meteorological and oceanographical topics. This conference has a very inclusive nature and all submissions are peer-reviewed. Abstracts are due by 23 October 2024.

The opening ceremony of the tenth UNESCO/IOC-RTRC-ODC training course and the ten-year anniversary celebration of the ODC center were successfully held on 5th July 2021 at FIO (Qingdao), MNR, China, with a hybrid of online and in person format.

Victor holds PhD in Meteorology from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China, attained in 2017. His areas of interest are climatology, and climate change. His current research is on variability of extreme climate events over East Africa. In his PhD thesis, he investigated the variability of past and future mean and extreme climate events over East Africa.
