Terms of Reference

  1. Facilitate progress in the development of tools and methods to monitor and assess climate variability and change, and evaluate climate predictability of the ocean-atmosphere-ice system in the Arctic and Subarctic Ocean.
  2. Connect to other international efforts, programmes and panels by members liaising themselves or via contacts.
  3. Monitor and evaluate progress in Arctic Ocean research, and identify gaps / make recommendations.
  4. Coordinate and feedback on Arctic data sets and data archiving, e.g. by meeting up with data centre reps.
