31st March - 4th May: abstract submission
The conference aims to offer a forum for dissemination and discussion of recent progress in research on the climate of the region surrounding the Mediterranean Sea and extending to the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. The objective is to promote exchange of information between, on the one hand, climatologists, and on the other hand, hydrologists, ecologists, social scientists, human health experts, economists and agronomists.
The tentative programme includes 5 sessions:
- Paleoclimate and the human dimension
- Regional climate: observations and process studies
- Extreme events and their impacts
- Model simulations: climate variability and projections
- Impacts of climate change and mitigation/adaptation strategies
