The book, Climate Science for Serving Society: Research, Modelling and Prediction, edited by Ghassem R. Asrar and James W. Hurrell, published by Springer is a collection of white papers that were produced ahead of the WCRP Open Science Conference, held in 2011. It formed the backbone of the conference programme and shaped the WCRP direction and priorities for the next 5 - 10 years.
