ICMPO was invited to participate in a one-day National Workshop on CFS Modelling Approaches, organized by the Monsoon Mission Directorate at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune on 29th October 2019.  The workshop was briefed by scientific leads from different national institutions in India on the performance of CFS/GEFS in short-range, extended range and seasonal prediction of the summer monsoon, with a special focus on the Indian summer monsoon of 2019.  The presentations were followed by open discussion on the outstanding issues and future directions of research.  For more information on India’s Monsoon Mission, please visit: https://www.tropmet.res.in/monsoon/monsoon2/index.html
