Meet the New Staff of the International CLIVAR Project Office

After nearly a year of transition, we are excited to announce that the staff team at the International CLIVAR Project Office is now fully complete! Based in Qingdao, China, and hosted by the Ocean University of China, our team is made up of passionate professionals from Indonesia, Mexico, and China, all working together to advance ocean and climate science.

Here’s a quick overview of the recent additions:

• Director Agus Santoso joined in December 2023
• Administrative Assistant Yang Zhao joined in July 2024
• Staff Scientist Di Zhang joined in September 2024
• Staff Scientist Joana Gonzalez joined in October 2024

With the full team now in place, we’re ready to support CLIVAR’s members and panels with energy, dedication, and a shared commitment to driving global progress in ocean and climate research.
