More than 750 scientists from 66 countries submitted 936 abstracts to the CLIVAR Open Science Conference before the 25 March deadline. Almost half were from Early Career Scientists, which certainly bodes well for the future of climate and ocean science!   280 ECS applied for a place in the ECS Symposium that will take place before and after the OSC. The review team will now review all the abstracts and submit their results to the SOC and the Financial Committee who will allocate the available travel support. Notifications about abstract acceptance, orals, funding and ECSS participation will be sent in May and June.
