CLIVAR Climate Dynamics Panel telecon held in April

The first telecom of the CLIVAR Climate Dynamics Panel in 2021 was held in April 8th, with the refresh of the members. Four new members, Yoshi Sasaki, Michael Byrne, Juliette Mignot, and Jennifer Kay joined the panel.

The telecon began with the introduction of CDP by the co-chair, including the term of reference, aim, and future plan, followed by the self-introduction of each member.

During the telecon, all the participants were agreed to challenge to give a forward-looking presentation on “emerging” topics in climate dynamics, with some ideas of how to engage the community to address them. To implement this, CDP will organize three virtual sessions in early June with one CDP theme at each session.
