The 2^nd preparatory meeting of the ‘WCRP-CLIVAR Workshop on Climate Interactions among the Tropical Basins’ was organized on January 20^th, 2021, with the participation of the CLIVAR TBI RF co-chairs, staff from the ICPO and the USCLIVAR Project Office, meeting planners from the Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science CPAESS-UCAR and multimedia experts from UCAR. This meeting, on the basis of previous discussions, focused more on specific details of the event.

The meeting started with the introduction of two multimedia experts from UCAR who will provide technical support to the workshop. With their participation, some pending technical issues such as the platforms to be used during the event were fully discussed and tentatively determined. At the same time, the agenda of the three-day workshop was also further specified. For instance, the CLIVAR TBI co-chairs decided to extend the discussion session of each day for another 30 minutes for participants to better exchange their ideas. Before the end of this meeting, tasks to be carried out before the next telecon were assigned.

The next meeting will be organized on January 27^th.
